(Correspondent: Shi Feng) From July 13 to 19, Xidian University hosted the "21cm Cosmology Workshops 2025 and Tianlai Collaboration Meeting". Vice President Zhang Jincheng of Xidian University (XDU), Deputy Director of the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC) Zhao Gongbo, and Professor Reza Ansari from Paris-Saclay University attended and delivered speeches.

The conference was jointly organized by XDU and NAOC, co-hosted by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, the School of Aerospace Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Equipment Effectiveness in Extreme Environments. Over 110 scholars from more than ten countries and regions participated, making it a high-level academic event in the field of international radio astronomy.

At the opening ceremony, the three distinguished guests highlighted the strategic significance of neutral hydrogen 21cm signals in cosmological studies, acknowledged the progress made by China in major scientific projects such as FAST and the "Tianlai Experiment", and emphasized the need for continued interdisciplinary collaboration and international cooperation. They encouraged young scholars to innovate actively and engage in global scientific frontiers to jointly advance the development of radio astronomy.

The symposium featured multiple thematic sessions covering theoretical, observational, and methodological research directions. During the conference, experts, scholars, and students from nearly 40 research institutions worldwide, including NAOC, Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tsinghua University, Northeastern University, Sun Yat-sen University, Xidian University, Academia Sinica (Taiwan), University of Western Australia, University of Cambridge, Tel Aviv University, Paris-Saclay University, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Korea Institute for Advanced Study, Stellenbosch University, and University of Manchester, engaged in in-depth exchanges on core scientific issues in 21cm cosmology. Nearly 80 academic presentations were delivered, comprehensively showcasing the latest progress and development trends in current cosmological research. Participants came from countries and regions including China, Australia, France, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, South Africa, and the UK, underscoring the symposium’s role as an important platform for promoting international cooperation, academic exchange, and talent development.

The successful hosting of this conference demonstrated Xidian University’s commitment to international academic exchanges, interdisciplinary integration, and serving cutting-edge technological development. It created favorable conditions for the university to leverage its strengths in electronic information and expand into international frontier interdisciplinary research areas such as radio astronomy. In the future, the university will further expand its strategic layout in basic research, international cooperation, and high-level talent cultivation, continuously enhancing its academic influence and participation in the global scientific and technological innovation system.
